Core Box Types and Specifications

Core boxes are available in both wood and plastic. Common specifications for wooden core boxes include the following three types:
The first type is used for large diameter cores (>127mm), with specifications of 800X650X150mm. The number of rows depends on the diameter of the core:
The second type is used for medium diameter cores (75~110mm), with specifications of 900X650X100mm and 6~8 rows:
The third type is used for small diameter cores (<75mm), with specifications of 1000X650X60mm and 10~15 rows.
The side and bottom boards are 10mm thick, the partitions are 6mm thick, and the bottom has a 30mm high base. As shown in Figure A1.
Plastic core boxes are basically the same as wooden core boxes, except that the partitions are fixed. The specifications are as shown in Table A1.

Plastic core boxes, as shown in Figure A2, are mainly used for storing oil and gas geological drilling cores.
Note: Wooden core boxes are mainly used for storing loose core samples or sand samples, with specifications of 50 slots
