The borehole sampler is a robust and compact machine designed for small spaces and rough terrain. It uses a direct-push drilling method to extract undisturbed soil samples. The drill rig design includes inner and outer tubes, and it features fast drilling speed, complete sampling, and high work efficiency. Due to its small size and light weight, it is self-propelled.
A borehole sampler is a robust and compact machine designed for small spaces and rough terrain. It uses a direct-push drilling method to extract undisturbed soil samples. The drill design includes inner and outer tubes, featuring fast drilling speed, complete sampling, and high work efficiency. Due to its small size and light weight, it is self-propelled. So, what precautions should be taken when operating a borehole sampler? Let's take a look below.

(1) It can be started after the power unit is running normally. The clutch engagement is smooth, without impact, light, even, and smooth.
(2) When shifting gears using the gearbox or transfer case handle, the clutch must be disengaged first. Shifting gears while driving is strictly prohibited. Wait until the gear working speed slows down before shifting to avoid damaging the gears.
(3) Each shift gear should be fully engaged to prevent automatic sliding and gear damage.
(4) Check the running parts. The temperature of parts such as bearings and gearboxes should not exceed 60 °C. If overheating occurs, stop and check.
(5) If the clutch is found to be overheating or slipping, check the machine and adjust the clutch friction and diaphragm gap. The gap adjustment should be appropriate. If the clutch is too tight, it will not engage; if it is too loose, the clutch will work in a half-engaged state, resulting in low torque transmission and rapid wear of the friction plates.
(6) Before starting the borehole sampler drilling, lift the drill bit from the bottom of the hole, then engage the system clutch, and wait until the drill rig runs normally before applying pressure to drill.
(7) When using the hoist, do not press down the left and right handles simultaneously, do not use the handbrake handle and foot combination simultaneously, and do not overload.
(8) For new machines or machines that have been idle for a long time, operate at speed 2 for at least 20 minutes before operation, and spray lubricant on the gears and bearings before normal operation.
(9) Before starting, the locking device should be locked before drilling to prevent the machine body from retreating due to vibration.
(10) The tachometer cannot control reverse rotation. If the rotator needs to be reversed, remove the tachometer flexible shaft to avoid damaging the vehicle tachometer.
(11) During operation and lifting, do not move the drill rig control handle.
(12) If abnormal noise occurs during the operation of the borehole sampler, stop and find the cause to reduce the abnormal noise.
(13) Under automatic braking, the operator must not leave. If necessary, use the pawl to lock the cam.
(14) The brake band must be kept free of oil stains to prevent slippage.
(15) All hydraulic operating handles must not be used simultaneously. After the gear oil pump starts, pay attention to the reaction of the oil pressure gauge and the bottom hole pressure indicator. During operation, when it is necessary to increase or decrease the bottom hole pressure, it should be adjusted gradually, and it must not be suddenly increased or decreased. When the hydraulic system quickly lifts the vertical shaft (quick rod reversing), it should only be done under the original load to avoid damaging the parts.
(16) When operating the ball positioning control valve, do not use too much force. Be familiar with each position and correctly position it. When operating the spring automatic reset control valve, pull it all the way down, otherwise it is easy to cause pressure impact and damage the pressure gauge.
