 Jaw Crusher

Depending on the size of the peeling area of the anti-rust paint on the outer surface, repair methods such as spraying or repainting the entire machine are used. Grease is applied to metal exposed areas to prevent rust.

Jaw crushers are commonly used equipment in mining crushing, characterized by high crushing rate, simple operation, and easy maintenance. However, inevitably, a large amount of dust is generated during production, causing significant pollution. How to reduce dust pollution from jaw crushers is a concern for many.

A. Install nozzles at the three main parts: the dust inlet, outlet, and crushing cavity, with two nozzles at each location. At the inlet, two nozzles point towards the entrance. At the outlet, two nozzles are positioned at a certain angle to create intersecting spray patterns for optimal effect. The nozzles in the crushing cavity are located behind the jaw, angled relative to the horizontal.

Install vacuum cleaners at the outlet and the inspection port behind the crushing cavity jaw to control dust dispersion through vacuum suction.

B. The vacuum membrane of the outlet vacuum cleaner is approximately 1000 mm from the outlet, with the membrane plane perpendicular to the dust flow direction. The connecting pipe between the vacuum cleaner and blower after the jaw movement is designed as a flexible pipe, facilitating lubrication of the crusher's moving jaw and daily maintenance.

C. Before entering the jaw crusher, materials are pre-filtered through a vibrating screen to remove small particles and dust. Regular cleaning of the vibrating screen is necessary to prevent clogging, ensure efficient operation, and prevent large amounts of dust from entering the crushing system and scattering.

When the machine is idle, before storing the jaw crusher, drain the cooling water from the engine and change the engine oil. New engine oil is usually neutral and will not corrode the engine's metal parts. Inject diesel fuel into the fuel tank to prevent rusting of the tank and preservatives, where conditions permit. During shutdown, the engine should be started monthly to allow the machine to run a short distance, creating a new oil film on the lubricated parts of each component to prevent rust. Note that cooling water should be added before starting and drained from the rear.

The jaw crusher is one of the more common crushing equipment in mining production, mainly used for the surface treatment of various materials. While structural types vary, the working principle is largely similar, differing only in the moving trajectory of the movable jaw. In essence, as the movable jaw reciprocates, and the suspended jaw reciprocates periodically, when the movable jaw is adjacent to and approaches the fixed jaw, the ore is trapped between the two jaws. Crushing, splitting, bending, and fracturing occur. When the movable jaw separates from the fixed jaw, the crushed ore is discharged under gravity. Bearing parts are prone to damage and significant wear, requiring regular maintenance to extend their lifespan.

Pay attention to the lubrication of friction surfaces to ensure the normal operation and service life of the mining crusher. Add 50%-70% grease to the bearing housing. Replace it every three months. When changing the oil, carefully clean the bearing roller raceway with clean gasoline or kerosene. Lubricating grease should be injected into the mining crusher where the elbow contacts the elbow pad.
